The logo for The New York Times Company might look like piano keys, but it is actually a reference to the historic movable type printing process that was used in the early production of the newspaper. That was the inspiration behind this metal pin as part of our Early Edition collection.
The Times Company logo was originally designed by Lou Silverstein, the art director and graphic designer for The New York Times who was inducted into the Art Directors Hall of Fame in 1984.
This 0.7″ black nickel plated pin comes placed on a 2″ x 2″ backer card. Our Early Edition pin collection was made by Three Potato Four, a husband and wife led product and graphic design studio located outside of Philadelphia.
